Day 3- Wednesday

Greetings from Sharron:
The beautiful park we visited last evening before dinner at the pub.
My first bowl of "authentic" Goulash. Yum, it was Delicious!
Last evening the staff from the Bible school treated us to some great local flavor. We left school at 4:30 pm and went 20 kilometers to the village of Mosovce. First we visited a wonderful bakery where delightful smells were drifting about. We each purchased delicious treats to munch on as we took a pre-dinner walk through a beautiful park with a river running through it. We then had dinner at a pub, dinning on goulash and bread, and toasting with a local drink called Slivovitz. It is a potent clear liquor and definitely not for sissies! Wow!
After leaving the pub, we walked about 3 blocks to the Gulan's house (a couple from the Bible school) for ice cream sundaes, fellowship, and a beautiful view of a natural mountain preserve.
The group enjoying the Gulan's hospitality.
Our third day of classes covered health terms, proverbs, idioms, and quotations. The students in my class have quickly become enthusiastic about the word game Taboo. It helps build their vocabulary and sentence structure. We are getting to know each other more each day and enjoy our time together!
